A lot of my best stuff is up on the Home page, and all my illustrated articles are there. On this one are photo albums, with few or no words, chiefly of English church and cathedral misericords and bench-ends, my special interest, but also of this, that and alsorts, because I'm generally quite a keen photographer, if not wonderfully skilled!
NB that all of these albums were produced using Jalbum, a pretty neat program, and free, but a bit clunky. Fine-tuning, including fixing useful return links, has proved a bit of a battle. If in difficulties, just use 'Back' in your browser. Any technical information about the images, courtesy of Jalbum, is to be treated with a large pinch of salt, and contrary to what you may read here and there, despite my best efforts, copies cannot be ordered on-line! Please feel free to copy and use nonetheless, for non-profitmaking purposes only, but please acknowledge me as the original font and origin, in some way, shape or form.
Bear in mind that copyright in the church and cathedral images remains with those institutions. I am most grateful for the opportunity to take the photographs, many years ago. In now publishing them to a wider audience my intention is in some sense to repay the debt. Anyone attempting to pass off anything here as his own work, still worse sell it on, can get seriously stuffed! Who does he think he is? Bill Gates?!
